Development and Learning

We want our staff to learn and develop and ultimately achieve their potential. Whether you start as an intern or join us with lots of experience, we encourage secondments to different departments and teams and support professional development through courses, qualifications and training opportunities. We also offer everyone the opportunity to have up to 4 sessions a year of development coaching for both professional and life skills.

Life Assurance 

Dealing with the loss of a family member is extremely difficult, so whilst we hope it'll never be needed, our life cover provides valuable support for the people who depend on you financially.

Flexibility

We recognise that everyone works differently and we want to embrace that. We have offices in London, Bristol (opening soon!) and near Cardiff, Wales and we encourage everyone to come into the office 3 or 4 days a week but if you need to work from home once or twice a week, we understand. Your productivity and contribution are important, of course, but so is your health and wellbeing so we trust our people to be responsible and mindful of their colleagues' working patterns to make informal flexible working successful for everyone and for the business.

Community

Notwithstanding the above, team spirit and communication is valued highly at Nextbase. We hold 'Team Days' each month where everyone comes into the office and enjoys a lunch provided by the company. Other events may also happen on these days and it's a great opportunity to connect with your team and other colleagues across the business in a relaxed and informal way. It's also a great opportunity to have in-person meetings and 1:1's with your manager or colleagues.

Make a Difference Days

We give all our staff 2 fully paid days to donate their time to volunteer in the community or for a charity of their choice. 'Make a Difference Days' let us give back to causes that really matter to us.

Before Nextbase, I worked in an online retail environment, but at Nextbase, I’ve held various roles, from sales to Head of Marketing. I joined when I saw an opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking team designing products for UK customers, and I was excited to make a real difference.

What makes Nextbase special is how quickly we can react to consumer feedback. Our support and design teams work closely together, which is a rare and valuable collaboration. I’m driven by the constant innovation in new technologies, like AI, and how they can benefit drivers and improve road safety. The number of world-firsts we’ve achieved and the desire to keep innovating is what keeps me excited to come to work.

The people I work with are dedicated, passionate, and always think outside the box to solve problems. I’m inspired by the feedback we receive from customers, especially when our footage helps them prove they weren’t at fault in an accident or when the police say our products have saved lives.

I’ve been with Nextbase for just under two years and I manage our largest retail partners, like Best Buy in the US and Canada. My background is in sales, specifically in consumer electronics in mass retail across North America, having worked for small startups, mid-sized companies, and large corporations.

Beyond the company’s support, the teams I work with create an exceptional workplace environment. My background is in customer service and complaints, where I enjoyed turning challenging situations around and taking charge to resolve them.
I joined Nextbase because, after starting an engineering degree, I became interested in technical roles. The Technical Support Engineer role allowed me to combine my customer service experience with the opportunity to learn about engineering within a multi-disciplinary team.

What’s special about working at Nextbase is the constant challenge to learn new things and the autonomy to implement them, whether the outcome is a success or a learning opportunity.

What keeps me coming to work is knowing that my team and I directly impact our customers’ experience globally, reviewing feedback on every new feature or product. The responsibility and challenge that come with that motivate me.
